Kendra Lee Sanders is a LA based cinematographer. She shoots a range of formats - digital, film, and tape - and works across narrative, documentary, and commercial projects. 

Kendra believes in collaboration. She likes to work alongside the director to craft a compelling visual language. Her training in film theory and history complements her aesthetic sensibilities and intuition. She enjoys playing with genre and pushing beyond the conventional to tell stories and portray characters in new ways.

Kendra has taught film theory and formal analysis at the University of Chicago and earned a Masters in Film Aesthetics from Oxford. She is proudly from Kentucky with Puerto Rican roots. When not behind a camera, Kendra enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, being outside, riding her 1200C Sportster, and boxing.
